SFC16 Day 37 Tribal Council

After some mayhem at Tribal, Kopeii and Riley both leave the game.


Just like Tialayla. With Riley being one of my preexisting characters, I kinda wanted from the start to have him last a while, but I knew I couldnt have him win. Especially since the furry guy who sucks at challenges and has a career as a food maker won last season. It was easy to not have him win. However he was so fun to write for in a full season like this. A chance to really have something concrete to flesh his character out, as well as show his dynamic and relationship with Tialayla, and I'm very happy with how he turned out. Even if he was surprisingly for me one of the more UTR Players of the season. (He only Tied Brad for overall confessionals. And Riley lasted over two episodes longer than him).

But while I wanted to work on developing his character, and bonds, such as the one with Damon that was nowhere in the original plans for the story, and just sorta happened as the story went on. I also knew Kopeii was going to have to be involved, since he is a part of Riley's character and is the source of many of his insecurities. One benefit of having this season take place in the Mushroom Kingdom was instead of having 1-2 full moons over the course of the season, I could have several more just to have some more interesting moments. And as for Kopeii. While I know he's obviously not the most in depth character, and can be annoying, having him be half a threat, and half a walking joke worked well to balance him out and not play him as seriously as Riley does see him. Plus no matter how his personality. If he only had 4-5 appearances in the actual season. Who cares how annoying he is?

Anyway. Now that Riley is gone, only lasting one day longer than Tialayla. We are down to the Final Four.
